Born in Bristol. Apprenticed to the Bristol Aeroplane Company. Started as Engineer in Royal Navy.

Studied at Bath Academy of Art, Corsham, under Kenneth Armitage

Won an Italian Government Scholarship, spent time in Sicily and Milan

Taught at Newport School of Art

Gregory Fellowship at University of Leeds
